Remembrance Day - Nov 11, 2007

This year's Remembrance Day was very special for Stephen's parents, Gerry and Debbie. The Canadian military flew them, and family members of other soldiers who had lost their lives in Afghanistan, to Kandahar for the Remembrance Day ceremony there. Becky Turns Twenty-Ten

Saturday was my friend Becky's 30th birthday. Me, Sally, Michelle and Becky's roomates Lisa and Corinne took Becky to the mall for makeovers for our night out. It was fun to sit and have someone else pamper us and get us ready to go out. After the makeovers, we went home to change and then took her to Divino's Wine and Cheese Bistro, a fabulous restaurant in downtown Calgary. Becky's parents and another friend Jolene joined us there. After a very satisfying meal that ended with a course of a selection of wonderful cheeses we went back to Becky's parents house for dessert (Becky's favorite - angel food cake with fresh raspberry sauce and whipped cream) and some celebratory champagne.

3rd Annual Pumkin Carving
My best friends and I got together before Halloween to carve pumpkins for Halloween. Its always a very fun and very messy time. We carve our pumpkins and enjoy a yummy snack of warm roasted pumpkin seeds.

Halloween at Work

We had trick-or-treating from office to office on Halloween and we could only particpate if we had some form of costume. Most of the staff got involved. I was Nancy Drew. My coworker Kelly started calling me that during my last campaign so I thought it would be a fitting costume. I loved reading Nancy Drew books growing up and had fun trying to be her for the day.
